my mother’s blade thuds into the wood
we’re going to be replacing a well soon…
half a head deep, splitting splinters
yay for water testing two weeks into drinking.
mine bounces off
at least we don’t feel that bad
lands in the mulch
it could be worse
my mother’s second throw shakes the target
it could’ve been avoided
